Virgin Media Television secures rights to UEFA Nations League, European Qualifiers to UEFA EURO 2024 and European Qualifiers to 2026 FIFA World Cup

Virgin Media television has announced a major coup for Irish sports fans by securing multi-platform rights to the UEFA Nations League and UEFA Nations League Finals from 2022-2025, UEFA European Qualifiers to UEFA EURO 2024 and European Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

 

The agreement sees Virgin Media acquiring Irish rights to the top international fixtures involving Europe’s best teams such as England, France, Germany, Belgium and Italy. Viewers will also be able to see highlights of all Ireland international football matches for the next four years.

 

June will see a Feast of Football, kicking off on June 1st, with the Finalissima featuring UEFA EURO 2020 winners Italy taking on Copa America holders Argentina.

 

The European Qualifiers to World Cup 2022 featuring Scotland against Ukraine and Poland versus Wales will also be broadcast on Virgin Media Television.

The UEFA Nations League 2022/23 tournament also begins on June 1st with 14 days of live football featuring mouth-watering clashes such as Spain v Portugal, Italy v Germany and Belgium v Netherlands. Virgin Media will have live matches every night of the competition all the way to the final on Sunday 18 June 2023.

Virgin Media Television will have exclusive Irish free-to-air rights for England matches. June will see them play Germany, Italy and Hungary.
