Cork Based jewellers 'Claddagh Design' to get a boost from featuring on Virgin Media Television as part of €1 Million support

Three new Irish businesses to feature on this week’s Virgin Media Television #BackingBusiness advertising campaign

 

• Claddagh Design, based in Macroom, Co. Cork, are offering virtual one to one jewellery design consultations

• The Book Resort, based in Co. Waterford, are sending out monthly gift boxes to subscribers including items from Irish suppliers

• The College of Progressive Education, based in Dublin, has moved their QQI classes online

 

Friday, June 19th: Ireland’s leading connected entertainment provider, Virgin Media, is continuing to support Irish businesses nationwide with their €1 Million support fund as part of their #BackingBusiness initiative which includes free on-air advertising including creative, production, profiles across its full schedule covering Virgin Media Channels One, Two and Three, Virgin Media.

 

The campaign has been hugely successful so far and has already featured 18 Irish businesses on air and a further 20 have been profiled on Virgin Media’s official social media accounts. This week’s selected businesses are:

 

Macroom-based Jewellery designers Claddagh Design, which was established in 2010 by jewellery designer and silversmith Eileen Moylan, and are now offering virtual one to one design consultations for customers.

 

They will also be joined by Waterford-based, The Book Resort, are allowing subscribers to receive a new book, Irish chocolates and a small surprise in a monthly gift box. They are also making sure to use only Irish suppliers in their gift boxes.

 

The third business, The College of Progressive Education, which is a leading provider of QQI Accredited Courses in SNA, Healthcare, Childcare and Business, have moved their classes online and are now launching fully online QQI course for their students are the first business to be supported this week. helps consumers find, shop and connect with Irish owned businesses.

 

Eileen Moylan, Jewellery Designer and Owner of Claddagh Design said: "Virgin Media Backing Business has allowed us to reach a nationwide audience to share we now offer virtual consultations. Creating special moments all over Ireland with our bespoke jewellery, wedding and engagement ring designs."

 

All three businesses will feature on Virgin Media’s weekly 60” ad break campaign and will also be promoted across Virgin Media’s official social media channels.

 

The Virgin Media #BackingBusiness initiative is designed to underpin the renewal and recovery of businesses in communities throughout Ireland in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. It’s open now to businesses across the country and aims to give them a national platform to showcase their resilience and ingenuity during these challenging times. It will feature as many Irish businesses as possible, and entering is really easy.
