UPC Business teams up with CARA for high flying campaign

Wednesday, 5th February 2014: UPC Business has teamed up with CARA Magazine to advertise UPC business services to passengers on all Aer Lingus domestic, European and transatlantic flights. UPC is one of Ireland’s largest business-to-business communications providers offering high speed broadband, data connectivity, voice solutions, WiFi and Digital
Business TV across its fibre power network.

From February, Cara Magazine’s 1.3 million readers will see adverts highlighting the benefits of UPC Business services and each advertisement also carries a business customer testimonial. The first iteration features The Convention Centre Dublin, lit vibrantly in UPC’s blue colours, where UPC provides a high speed fibre connection meeting all of the CCD’s
business communications requirements.

Gavan Smyth, Vice-President of Business Services, UPC Ireland said, “We have made major investments of over half a billion euro upgrading our fibre power network over the past number of years. Furthermore, UPC became the first Irish telecommunications company to be granted membership of Guaranteed Irish and joins one of Ireland’s most trusted and
recognised symbols.

“We’re constantly improving the performance and value of our already innovative product offerings. We are now highlighting the productivity gains and commercial benefits that our digital services provide for business customers from SMEs to large scale enterprises including multinational companies.”

“Cara Magazine offers us the perfect outlet for increasing our visibility to both our current and potential business customers. Many Aer Lingus passengers are business travellers and a high proportion of these are senior decision makers. Also, in surveys a high percentage of Cara readers have also expressed a desire to set up their own business and this is an area
where we can make a big difference for them with our excellent value fibre power services. We want to connect with these business people and we’re delighted to have this opportunity through Cara Magazine. ”

Launched by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD, UPC recently announced its new 500 Mbps superfast broadband service for businesses across Ireland. The new 500 Mbps service more than doubles currently available speed offerings making a significant contribution to regional economic development while further empowering Ireland’s digital economy.
