UPC sponsors Premier League Coverage on Newstalk’s Off The Ball

Tuesday 2nd September, 2014: Ireland’s leading TV, broadband and communications innovator UPC has launched its biggest ever new season kick-off with a €2 Million marketing campaign highlighting more sport, more choice and more reasons to watch through UPC’s revolutionary Horizon TV service.

The extensive €2 million campaign includes heavyweight TV and radio media advertising across the main national channels with 45% of the budget targeting broadcast and the remainder focused on print, digital media and outdoor. The broadcast campaign features the catchy single ‘Plage’ by Crystal Fighters.

UPC has also focused on radio station sponsorship for the first time as the sponsor of Premier League Coverage on Newstalk’s Off The Ball.

The overall campaign brings exceptional value to sports fans where UPC is offering Sky Sports at just €1 a month for six months for all new Horizon TV customers. The move will save new customers €204 on current prices for Sky Sports.

The campaign was created by advertising agency Irish International and directed by Ad Director Kevin Thomas, with media buying handled by Carat.
