Friday 24th January 2014: In a ground breaking move, Ireland’s leading TV, broadband and communications innovator UPC is offering its cable customer base free upgrades to Horizon TV and a broadband speed upgrade to 120Mb or above.

The UPC move will set new standards for both broadband and TV in Ireland. All customers will be given the option to upgrade for free from today by moving or upgrading to bundles: 

• All existing TV customers are being offered a free Horizon TV installation with self-install
• Over 270,000 broadband customers will have their speed increased to 120Mb, or will be given the option to upgrade to 120Mb for no extra charge

Eoghan O’Meara, Head of Strategy, UPC Ireland said: “Our priority is putting our customers first and we think this is a great way to acknowledge and reward our customers.

“This initiative allows us to bring the extraordinary Horizon experience and Fibrepower broadband to all our customers. UPC is the only player providing such extraordinary services across its entire product range.”

Also this week, UPC launched a unique new Home Phone App which combines the convenience of your smartphone with the great value of your UPC Home Phone. 

Last week, UPC announced its new Wi-Fi service – Horizon WiFree. Horizon Wi-Free & Horizon Phone App are also free to UPC Broadband customers and will be rolled out in the months ahead.
