I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Is Back - Your Guide To The 2020 Edition!

Ant and Dec: I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

As much as some things might change, some remain the same. The leaves fall, the nights turn dark, and Ant and Dec make famous people do disgusting stuff on telly. Ah, aren’t you glad of the taste of normalcy again?!

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! returns to our screens this Sunday, November 15th, and you’ll catch the whole series on Virgin Media One, Virgin TV 103. Needless to say, the state of the world has required a few changes – but where there’s a will, there’s a way…

And so, with the 20th series (yes, we couldn’t believe it either!) just days away, here’s your rapid-fire guide to what you can expect during the annual extravaganza – including a brand new podcast that you’ve simply got to hear!

WHERE ARE THEY?!

When you need a stand-in for the Australian jungle, a perfect replacement for everything from wild, unkempt nature to the types of creatures that would make your skin crawl, you turn to...Wales. To be precise, Gwrych Castle in Conwy will be the setting for this year’s series – so yes, the King/Queen of the Jungle will now be the King/Queen of the Castle, which you’d have to say has worked out well. Also, over two decades, this lot have proven they know exactly what they’re doing – so expect all the usual fun and games, just with a little more rain and a little less sunshine this time!

WHO’S HOSTING?

One thing that’s definitely not changed is the hosts with the most – Ant and Dec are back and raring to go! Social updates in the past few weeks have shown the pair getting acclimated to their new surroundings, and their energetic banter and cheeky quips are bound to be as integral a part of this run as any other! Oh, and if nobody’s ever made it completely clear; Ant’s on the left, even in Wales...

WHO’S COMPETING?

Well, now you’re asking a real million-dollar question! As ever, the line-up for the show is one of the most closely-guarded secrets in the entertainment world – but we’ve certainly got some clues as to who we can expect to see pitching camp. Athletics icon Mo Farah is one famous face heavily rumoured to be involved, as is TV host Vernon Kay and long time Corrie star Beverley Callard. To tell the truth, you might just have to watch the first episode to see who’s really there and who isn’t; after all, it’s harder to spot celebs slipping across the English/Welsh border than it is to keep an eye out in Oz!

CAN WE HAVE SOME MORE?!

We thought you’d never ask! A brand new podcast, Hooked on… I'm a Celebrity launches to coincide with Sunday’s show, with the inimitable Fionnuala Jones on the mic! With new episodes landing daily from Sunday to Friday, it’s your place to find behind-the-scenes gossip, details on the new trials facing the contestants, and loads more besides! When we caught up with FJ, she said, “As a reality TV obsessive, I cannot wait to see what they do with I’m A Celebrity this year, given the changes the show has had to undergo. I’m hoping the podcast will be a welcome bit of escapism for people – I’ve missed slagging celebrities!”.
